Understanding the project archive

The project list records a range of past BDCCIA activities, from the Back to Business project in 2005–2006 to S4IG tourism training listed for June 2018–May 2020. Other entries include work associated with UNIDO, YBSL, the Ceylon Chamber, ILO and GIZ. The names and periods help visitors identify the work they want to discuss. They should not be read as an announcement that those projects are accepting applications now. For current activities, ask the chamber to confirm the programme name, timing and arrangements.

Finding the right activity for your business

A useful enquiry starts with the practical issue your business wants to address. This might be improving business skills, understanding a new market, meeting other enterprises or discussing a sector-specific challenge. Explain what your organisation does and what you would like to learn. If an archived project seems relevant, include its exact name rather than assuming that a similarly named programme is the same initiative. Before arranging attendance, confirm the intended audience, location, language, registration process and any participation costs directly with the organiser.

Updates, archive notices and partnerships

The chamber updates below include a published account of the meeting with officials of the Japan High Commission. Older notices are retained as archive entries when a full article is not available on this website. They are not presented as upcoming events. An organisation proposing a new collaboration can send a short outline covering the business need, intended participants and the contribution it can offer. Keeping a proposed activity distinct from a completed project helps both members and partners find accurate information. The membership page explains the wider areas of chamber involvement, while future plans describe proposed development priorities.
