Strategic Plans for Future Growth and Development
The Batticaloa Chamber plans to host seminars, introduce new technologies, and support entrepreneurship through development programs and investor assistance. We also aim to enhance member networking and establish Development Banks to drive regional growth.
Advancing Growth Through Education and Innovation:
Seminars on IT, taxation, general management, marketing management, stores management for Businessmen
Classes for CIMA.
Introduction of new technologies.
Business-Peace meetings.
Establishment of Development Banks.
Information assistance to investors.
Entrepreneur development programs.
Enhancing networking of members by increasing memberships.
Proposed learning and enterprise priorities
The chamber’s future plans bring together business education, new technology and entrepreneurship. Listed seminar subjects include IT, taxation, general management, marketing and stores management, alongside an intention to offer CIMA classes. These are planning priorities, not a published course timetable. A business interested in training can explain the skills its team needs, the number of potential participants and any practical scheduling constraints. Confirm the provider, syllabus, dates, entry requirements and costs when a specific programme is announced, particularly where a professional qualification is involved.
Collaboration, investment information and networking
Other stated priorities include business-peace meetings, information assistance for investors, entrepreneur development and a wider membership network. The published list also includes the establishment of development banks as an ambition. That statement is not an offer of lending, a banking service or a confirmation that an institution has been established. Prospective partners should discuss the current status of an initiative directly with the chamber. An investment-related enquiry is most useful when it explains the proposed activity, the sector involved and the information being sought, without disclosing confidential financial records at the initial stage.
How members can contribute to the discussion
Members can prepare ideas for future work by identifying a clear business problem and explaining why a shared activity could help. Describe the audience, the expected learning or networking purpose and the resources your organisation could contribute. Suggestions for a workshop, a technology demonstration or a sector meeting are easier to assess when their scope is clear. Use the achievements and activities pages to understand the chamber’s published record before proposing a new collaboration. Any delivery dates, eligibility rules or participation arrangements need separate confirmation; this page should not be used as evidence of an approved project or a guaranteed outcome.
